Colonist Victor Quinaz ('05) started PERIODS., an online comedy films series two years ago with the viral short PILGRIMS. Since then the series has covered a number of historical topics and literary adaptations spanning the creation of man (RE:CREATION), the domestic lives of Vikings (VIKING WIVES), and even an adaptation of EDITH WHARTON'S ETHAN FROME.
On August 9th PERIODS. Films opened the HollyShorts Film Festival at Grauman's Chinese in Hollywood with a retrospective of their work newly edited into a feature presentation. The presentation included their newest film, an adaptation of John Steinbeck's seminal classic EAST OF EDEN (now chock-full of dick and bean jokes). The new film features Penn Badgley (EASY A, MARGIN CALL).
PERIODS. will debut their first feature film, THE JONES/HAVEMEYER WEDDING, directed by Victor Quinaz and produced by Anonymous Content (ETERNAL SUNSHINE, BABEL) and Before The Door Pictures (MARGIN CALL, ALL IS LOST) in the fall.
